Chadron State College provides a complete program of cultural events throughout the year, including performances from the theater jazz concert at Olde Main Street Inn, wind ensembles, lectures, art exhibits, plays, and concerts. The Galaxy Series recently offered performances by Baxter Black, as well as Ted Kooser (U.S. Poet Laureate).

Chadron State College’s Nelson Physical Activity Center (PAC) is available for community use through membership. The indoor track, basketball courts, and weight training facilities are hubs of activity. A universally accessible trail winding through the forested area surrounding the campus is popular for students and community members alike.
